Many used to call this place ' The Ghost Yard 'and when getting in there it makes you wonder why.

This was the second time in a month getting in here and quite frankly I din't expect our same hole to be open. The mission involved myself,STER and LUNE and we had watched the rain pour down most of the evening thinking that we were never going to paint. Around 2am the skies cleared and it was all systems go for us to head off. We watched the yard for cleaners and secutity but it was silent, not a trace of anyone. I peeled open the hole again and we were in like foxes among the chickens, rubbing our hand with glee. We pulled off an end to end and another panel for just over half an hours work.

Now the joke in the story comes a day later when at Mile End station after meeting up with MYTH we see this panel by DODO LDS come past us on a central line. Just as it pulls out the station MYTH spins round and catches my yard mission the night before on the district. I had failed to tell him about the mission and the look on his face was comical to say the least. We jumped on it and rode it down to Parsons' where i got the running shots. Beautiful..

Back to the 'Ghost Yard' again and we were really taking the piss this time. In the space of 5 weeks this was the third time in. MYTH hadn't been to this yard so it was risky going back so soon after the last mission. It was midweek and absolutely freezing and when we got to the fence the hole was still there. We hung round to 3am when the coast was clear we rolled in. Half way through doing our panels MYTH hears something and alerts me. We packed up our tins and I walked down to the front of the train to have a look to see what the noise was. Right opposite a driver had got in his cab and was pissing about looking for something. We watched him pull out his lunch box and a porno mag, take a quick glance and turn the lights back off. He strolls off all happy and me and MYTH just look at each other in amazement that he never heard or saw us. Just another crazy night in the yard..

This was strictly a back jump affair and my first. After finishing work and changing I met up with MYTH and we jumped on the last carriage on the District heading west. When we got to the termination point we had to wait for everyone to get off and then we walked off the end of the platform to the other side of the train. We only had 3 minutes to pull this off and it was lucky we had someone waiting on the next station to take the flicks. On leaving this place we cut through the fence to get back onto the main road and this police van came tearing round the corner all lights flashing. We ran back through the park, throwing paint away in the process. Funny thing was the happy bus wasn't for us...so we spent the next hail hour looking for all our tins, outlines and caps. Close call but taught us to be a little more aware of our surroundings. A night in the tunnels for us on this occasion. After the three of us had rocked the yard we decided to go into the sheds for some fun. SNEAK filmed the bombing for the ATS video and we managed to rinse fuck out of the freshly mainted stock. I tagged all the work surfaces, chairs, tool boxes even someones luchbox. I did think about shitting in it for a laugh but I was concerned about the DNA in my poo being traced back to me. Can you imagine the poor guys' face after seeing all the damage and then looking in his lunch box....now that would be a picture.

This was definately the most thrilling mission to date. This yard has a history of damage and reputable to be one of the hardest in London to do. After being out on a pub crawl with around 30 writers and destroying most of the South bank we hooked up with an old school writer 'SERIES'.He was chatting about this yard and how he knew away in that hadn't been touched in ten years or so. Well that's an invitation if I ever did hear one so we, so off we went. I can tell you the way in was something straight out of New York subway stories and an experience that i will relish for time. I just remember coming out of the thick smoke in the tunnel to see these Lil Mets laid up ready for the taking. Cameras, trip beams and barbed wire was no match for us and we took the pleasure in doing battle. In the heart of the city rocking the tubes was definately a feeling you can not imagine unless you have been there to experience it. I never really do white outlines and 3D so it was time to make the change. The central line rolling stock was my canvass and after 30 minutes I was pleased with this one. MYTH dropped a firing panel on the next carriage so a good night was had by one and all. It went as smooth as clockwork so no real stories to say about this one. Only if all missions went as smooth as this.

SNEAK,MYTH and myself wanted to head back to the Ghost yard but the trackies had finally closed the hole up...oh well! I hadn't done a DLR in a year so I thought it would be nice to do one for a change. We rolled in at the usual time even though they still move them around all night long. We got to work and managed to pull of another end to end and a panel for our troubles. We hung round till the morning to catch the day shots and then headed off to do a wall production. Very tired by the of that day because I last slept on the Friday night and we finished painting the wall at 5pm Sunday evening.. I took a week off from work last November and I decided to go yard every night. This was the third night painting down in Surrey on my own. It was a bit spooky in there because it is always so quiet and you can hear people and cars a mile away, so always makes me wonder if people can hear you. I finished up, took my flicks and left to goto another yard about 20 miles down the road. I had heard a story that after Connex losing their franchise they had opted not to clean the trains any longer. Well after me doing this panel it ran in and out of London for three weeks before they cleaned it off. A friend used to get on it regular and would call me weekly to tell me it was still running. It has to be an all time record in this country for a running piece on a commuters' train.
